Tarceva Rash
Seems that one of the most reported side affects of Tarceva is Rash
and in some cases can be quite severe. I have added this page so that
Tarceva patients can see just how bad it can get but at the same time
show after some ajustments it does settle.
The pictures below are of my husband Jimmy about a week after starting
Tarceva. His nose is swollen and he has puss spots on his nose. The
second,Third and forth pictures were taken about 2 weeks ago in Cuba.

Afte a short break off Tarceva and reducing the dose down to 100mg.
Jimmy's skin is much better. The top half of his body was covered in
spots there are now very few. The sun actually helped his spots. He
used a SPF 20 the whole time.

Thanks To Jimmy for allowing me to add these pictures.
Other things that may make the rash more bareable include.
- A short break off Tarceva
- Possible reduction of dose
- Calamine Lotion helps with itching
- Oral Antibiotics and Steriods, Doxycycline 100mg once a day and
Dexamethasone 2mg, every other day
- If the skin is dry moisturisers can help. Jimmy has used Johnsons
Baby Cream and Aveena Cream.
